New Project for Christmas

My son and his wife just bought their little daughter a puppy around Thanksgiving. He sent me a photo of her asleep on the sofa, holding the new pet and her old stuffed bear. I thought it was so cute and had the idea to paint a picture, using his photo as reference, for them for Christmas! So it's Crunch Time! I just got over being sick for about 4 days, so I have lost some time, but I am hoping I can finish it in time to ship it to them without it arriving too late.

My granddaughter has very dark brown hair, almost black. This will be the most challenging part of the  painting for me!
