Nature Journal Page Added

This evening I completed a page in my nature journal that I began back in 2014. That year we made two trips to Louisiana in one month and again it was brought home to me how long I had been away! When I think of my home state, I never remember the heavy humidity that seems to drown you if you are outside very long. Our church holds a General Southern campmeeting way down south, and my grandparents are buried in the cemetery there on the grounds. My youngest nephew got married later in the month, and we went to an area I had never been to, or even heard about! A  castle has been built there and many couples are choosing it as a wedding site. It was very interesting! On our way to the wedding, we had a flat before we had gone 100 miles, and then our GPS routed us all around the country and we ended up missing the ceremony completely! We never could figure out what happened with the GPS. A little shower came down during the wedding, but when we finally arrived in time for the reception it was held indoors, in the Air Conditioning! 😃 Fun note: all the wedding party wore colored tennis shoes. The blue ones I painted in were worn by the Bride, my new niece.

Since this is a nature journal, I included the frogs and the Louisiana climate information. I tried to make some of the trees behind the church look like the very tall pine trees that grow in the south.
