Yesterday, I went with the kids to pick up my entries from the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds. I was so happy that both of my entries had won a ribbon! My watercolor painting of the deer won First Place in Watercolor Paintings...
(my shirt is reflecting in the glass at the top!)
...and my ink drawing of my daughter skating down the sidewalk won a white Third Place ribbon in Drawings. It is so difficult to take a photograph after you have your artwork under glass in a frame. But you have seen these pieces before 😃
So now this is behind me! I am ready to go on to the next thing. I have a drawing all ready on my watercolor paper that was sketched out several years ago, and I need to totally complete my travel art journal of our family vacation that we took last October. OOOOOOOOOoooo, it is almost a year ago now! I think I better finish THAT before it really turns into a whole year. Knowing me, and allowing for life stuff to happen, I doubt I will finish it completely before the anniversary rolls around, but one can only hope, and work toward a goal, right?!
