A new page completed in my old Nature Journal that I began back in 2014! That summer we had a prolific zucchini harvest (is it ever NOT prolific?!) and I tried lots of new ways to cook this abundant summer squash. Speaking of prolific- - some summers the squash borers get our plants before we have gotten enough of the produce. Last year we did not even plant a garden! That was a tremendous change from the usual proceedings here.
My daughter usually continues taking piano lessons through the summer holiday and one afternoon I was able to take a beautiful picture of a Tiger Swallowtail butterfly on the flowers in the teacher's flowerbed. Julia loves butterflies, and flowers, and piano playing. 😃
